Monitoring What Is Important

This group offers a space for individuals to check in on their emotional state and treatment progress while practicing skills outside the program. The facilitator educates on mindfulness, guiding clients through practices. Participants set daily goals to break down overall treatment objectives into manageable steps. The group provides feedback and support for efforts to change targeted behaviors.

DBT Skills Training

This group offers comprehensive DBT training covering mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Designed to enhance problem-solving skills and daily functioning, it provides education, support, and accountability. Together, these skills help clients manage crises and create a fulfilling life.

Mindfulness

This group focuses on the DBT skill of mindfulness. This set of skills focuses on being present in the moment. Mindfulness is taught as an antidote to mindlessness. This group facilitates mindfulness practice and provides activities for clients to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives. The goal is for mindfulness to become second nature to participants to better support their recovery goals.

Seeking Safety

No matter what happens in life, there is always a way to cope safely. This group provides support in building skills to practice safe ways to cope. This group encourages all group members to utilize safe coping skills. Establishing and nurturing a sense of safety is an integral part of treatment.

Taking Recovery Home

This group focuses on preparing for the weekend to maintain treatment progress without group support. Skills learned throughout the week will be reviewed. Group members will anticipate potential triggers that may arise and create a plan to cope ahead without using behaviors that could slow down treatment progress.

Expressive Therapy

Expressive Therapy groups use creative activities to help you share and process feelings that may be hard to put into words. Expressive Therapy groups may integrate art, movement, experiential therapy, or other creative modalities to support your treatment goals.

DBT Skills Training: Application

This group focuses on the application of the highlighted DBT skill. This group will use examples, role plays, expressive therapies, and worksheets to enhance learning to prepare you to apply the skills in your personal life.

Interpersonal Effectiveness

This group focuses on improving relationships. Patients learn to identify healthy versus unhealthy behaviors in relationships, set and enforce boundaries, improve communication, and increase self-esteem. This group utilizes person- centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy interventions.

Behavior Chain Group

This group focuses on behavior analysis to understand what happens before and after the use of behaviors that are the target of treatment. Patients are provided psychoeducation on behavior analysis and then asked to put their knowledge into practice by mapping out an event to better understand and change problem behaviors.

Values & Goals Group

This group focuses on the priorities, goals, and values in one’s life. The goal of the group is to help clarify one’s value system, find meaning and purpose in our experiences, and engage more frequently in behaviors that support living a value driven life.
