Making the decision to start therapy can feel daunting for many reasons, but embarking on this journey has the potential to transform your relationship with yourself. I commend you for taking this important first step.
I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master of Arts in Social Work and a certificate in Trauma-Responsive Social Work from the University of Chicago. As a multi-racial individual and who comes from an immigrant family, my lived experiences shape my practice, allowing me to lean into complexity and connect authentically with clients from diverse backgrounds. I am deeply committed to working towards destigmatizing mental health while attuning to clients’ cultural values. As a clinician I aim to equip my clients with tools and insights to foster self-understanding, empowerment, and healing so they can live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
My therapeutic approach is fundamentally relational, emphasizing trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and self-determination. Collaboration and creating a sense of safety are central to my work, ensuring therapy aligns with your unique needs and goals. I integrate evidence-based modalities, including psychodynamic theory, family-systems theory, psychosomatic theories, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, and attachment theory.
I am passionate about supporting marginalized communities, including individuals from lower-income backgrounds, people of color, and those navigating severe mental health challenges or trauma. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults with specialties in trauma, domestic violence, passive suicidality, and identity exploration.
I am here to support you in your journey towards growth and healing, whatever that may look like. It would be my privilege to walk the path alongside you.
