Prioritizing one's health may feel selfish at first, especially for those who are so used to taking care of others that they forget to show up for themselves altogether. Though, I always tell my patients, you cannot give others from "your cup", if you yourself do not have anything in your cup to give. In my experience, one of the early steps on the healing journey is asking for help.
As a state-licensed and nationally board-certified physician assistant (PA), I am here to help guide you on this healing journey. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Chicago, I attended Southern California Unversity of Health Sciences and graduated with a Master of Science: Physician Assistant degree. During my PA studies, I received training in various fields including psychiatry, endocriniology, integrative health, pediatric neurology, pediatrics, women's health, emergency medicine, general surgery, family medicine, and internal medicine. Prior to joining Clarity Clinic, I worked in a primary care family practice setting where my passion for preventative, holistic health was solidified.
As a trained mental healthcare professional, I highly value the importance of integrative healthcare and addressing the multiple factors which can contribute towards one's overall health including the brain-gut connection, physical health, and spiritual health. I offer all of my patients a collaborative and individualized treatment approach using a combination of brief talk therapy and medication management. I also am able to communicate in Gujarati and Hindi and invite individuals of all cultures and backgrounds to consider me for their care. "The world is the puzzle itself." While receiving care at Clarity Clinic, It is my intention to help support you as you navigate the puzzle.
