Seeking out therapy is a hard first step to take but an important one to be able to work through any challenges or struggles that continue to arise day-to-day. Taking that first step is a huge accomplishment that leads to a deeper understanding of yourself and where to start in the web of emotions.
I offer an environment open to growth and working towards setting personalized goals to achieve throughout the process. I see therapy as a place to be open and honest about anything going on in your life while feeling safe and comfortable to share all thoughts and feelings. I feel this can be accomplished through encouraging self-awareness with empathy and compassion. My hope is to empower and guide you towards the goals you have established to improve your overall quality of life. The way I treat my clients starts with meeting every individual and family where they are at. I start by creating an inviting and nonjudgmental environment where we aim to learn new skills, manage emotions, and encourage personal growth. I enjoy including families, parents, school, and other providers into our treatment to coordinate the best care.
My therapeutic approach utilizes person-centered interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. I have previously worked with adolescents, young adults, and adults working through eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and social-anxiety in a variety of settings (PHP, IOP, foster care, and community based services). I look forward to working with new individuals to help start their recovery process together!
