I have dreamt of being a psychiatrist since I was in 5th grade and have been dedicated to pursuing this goal my entire life. Mental health as well as caring for others is my passion.
I provide compassionate, empathetic care that is tailored to your concerns. For some, this means trying to figure out if their medications are working properly; for others, this means trying to safely stop taking prescribed medications in favor of pursuing more holistic approaches. Starting with the initial evaluation, my goal is to work flexibly with each client using a comprehensive approach. This consists of a variety of techniques and evidence-based medicine applied to create a personalized treatment plan that suits each individual's specific needs. I am a firm believer in not only symptom management, but also concepts of positive psychiatry and ways to live a happier, balanced, and more meaningful life by identifying your purpose through your key values.
After medical school, I completed my adult psychiatry training at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. My specialties include PTSD, ADHD, Mood Disorders (including Depression and Bipolar Disorder), Generalized Anxiety Disorders, First Episode Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Personality Disorders. I am trained in the use of both psychotherapy and medication management to treat a variety of psychiatric disorders. I am very grateful to be able to work in this field that I love and enjoy the work that I do every single day.
