It is evident that mental health and psychiatric care is vitally important when caring about the holistic health of an individual. Personally, I have witnessed the profound impact that poor mental health can have on both the body and its ability to function optimally. These experiences have emphasized to me the utmost importance of receiving personalized, compassionate, and dedicated care for such issues.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at University of Illinois at Chicago and went on to receive my Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Carroll University. During my training, I had the privilege of working with many providers in areas of psychiatry, family medicine, emergency medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, and surgery. Over this time, I have worked with patients from diverse racial, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds from a variety of settings including rural, under-served areas to urban cities. I have also developed and hope to continue developing excellent patient care focused around patience, empathy, compassion, and cultural competency.
I believe that providing holistic care for patients entails addressing not only their physical health but also their emotional and psychological well-being. Therefore, I am deeply committed to advocating for my patients and ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care. My mission is to approach each individual with empathy, recognizing their unique needs and tailoring treatment plans accordingly. By recognizing the interconnections of mental and physical health, I seek to contribute to the overall well-being and happiness of those under my care. As a licensed physician assistant certified in mental health first aid, I aim to provide a safe, judgement-free environment and look forward to working with and supporting you throughout your care.
