Navigating today's world often leads to feelings of overwhelm and confusion. Many of us were not taught how to properly process or regulate our emotions, leaving life's stressors feeling even more daunting. It's my belief that developing an awareness of our emotions and strengthening our coping strategies is key to feeling more confident in facing life's challenges.
Taking that first step towards healing through therapy can be daunting. That's why I prioritize safety and empathy in each of my sessions, ensuring that you feel seen, heard, safe, and understood. My approach focuses on helping you better understand yourself, identify your strengths, and harness your resiliency to attain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I believe in a compassionate and client-centered approach utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT, and Psychoanalytical Therapy, tailoring therapy to each individual's unique needs. Together, we'll work towards solutions that promote healing and empowerment.
My experience is focused on supporting adults navigating symptoms of anxiety and depression, social anxiety, relationship anxiety, life stressors, eating and body concerns, chronic illness, relationship issues, women’s issues, and acute and complex trauma. Additionally, I have experience specific to understanding of the unique challenges faced by college students and young adults adjusting to emerging adulthood and unexpected responsibilities.
As a pre-licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist, I bring a foundation of knowledge from my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University of Chicago, complemented by my undergraduate studies in psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder.
