Filza Vayani, MD, Medical Resident

I received my medical degree at Windsor University School of Medicine and I am currently a dedicated psychiatry resident at Loretto, where I am developing a broad range of skills in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health disorders. My clinical interests include mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, as well as psychotic disorders like schizophrenia. I have always been passionate about mental health advocacy and patient-centered care, and I strive to provide compassionate and evidence-based treatment to every individual I encounter. I am committed to integrating psychotherapy and psychopharmacology into a holistic treatment approach, believing in the importance of addressing both the biological and psychological aspects of mental health. Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking homemade healthy, and I am always looking for new ways to balance the demands of residency with personal well-being. I am excited to continue my growth as a psychiatrist and contribute to the ongoing evolution of mental health care.
