Are you looking for a change? Maybe many? I believe all people have the potential to grow in meaningful ways when they are ready and with the right support, awareness, and skills. It’s of utmost importance to me that we create a safe environment for you to feel heard, build on strengths, and challenge any potential barriers to living a life in line with your values.
I understand that change requires intentionality and growth is most often a journey rather than a destination. In therapy, you will be in the driver’s seat and I will be a passenger. I will provide space and tools for you to return to a path that felt better for you, or, to explore new and exciting paths and opportunities. In some sessions, you might have a particular issue that you want to focus on a find solutions for, in some you may just need a safe space to process past or current situations. Cumulatively, we will be taking steps towards your treatment goals.
My approach is calm, inviting, strengths-based, and interactive. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused models as well as interventions from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and others. I received my Master’s in Community Agency Counseling from Saint Xavier University and have been working as a licensed counselor since 2008. My work prior to Clarity Clinic entailed working with survivors of sexual trauma, community agency settings, private practice settings, and a therapist in a residential setting with co-occurring disorders: many with eating disorders, self-harm, and/or substance use disorders. I also enjoy helping folks with life transitions, difficulties with decision-making, relationship issues, and launching into adulthood and I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. I look forward to working together!
