My name is Candace Clark. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am a firm believer that, “Life is what happens after we make plans”. Life has a way of bringing one to feelings of loneliness, and hopelessness, or can become overwhelming and change at a rapid rate. When these difficulties occur they can lead to depression, anxiety, or feeling as though you can not move forward.
As difficulties such as this arise, it can be helpful to address them with someone who will help you to begin to move forward again. Therapy is a solution to life’s plans that were not a part of the ones you laid out for yourself, it helps to get you back on the track to moving forward.
I am here to assist you with that forward movement. I have been in the field of mental health for over five years. I obtained my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University in 2013. I specialize in treating those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, and couples counseling. I come from a strengths-based perspective. I believe that everyone has an innate ability to move past life’s issues.
Together we will work on strategies that will allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build meaningful social connections. Some of these strategies include CBT, mindfulness training, and emotional regulation. Using an eclectic approach through psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, attachment, and other evidence-based approaches, together we will develop the strength in you to get back to a healthier mental focus. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
