Katerina Fager is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, divorce mediator, and author of “How To Communicate And Co-Parent With Your Ex-Partner After A Divorce” in the new book Stress-Free Divorce Volume 3. Katerina graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and completed divorce mediation training at Northwestern University. She has over 6 years of experience treating adults, children and families from diverse backgrounds. Katerina specializes in relationships and trauma. She helps individuals and couples develop new skills, new ways to communicate and grow to create more satisfying relationships. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, fear, negative thinking, any type of abuse and/or trauma, infidelity, parenting, divorce, self-esteem, adjustments, anger, ADHD, or communication in relationships, understanding can create positive changes and diminish symptoms. Katerina has completed Level 3 Clinical Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses Gottman Method in her work with couples. This method is designed to help teach specific tools to deepen friendship and intimacy in your relationship.

Katerina is passionate about helping others. She believes that although each individual is unique, everyone has the ability to change, heal, and move forward. Therapy can help you feel better and have better relationships. Her aim is to provide a warm, safe and accepting environment in which clients can better understand and manage their emotions. Katerina was born in the Czech Republic and speaks Czech, Slovak, Polish, Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian.
