Receiving a bipolar disorder diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and managing symptoms can be challenging without the right tools and support. This group is designed to provide education, coping strategies, and peer connection to help individuals better understand, manage, and live well with bipolar disorder.

  • Understanding Bipolar Disorder: Learn more about manic, hypomanic, and depressive episodes, as well as how they present and impact daily life.
  • Coping Skills & Symptom Management: Gain practical tools to stabilize moods, regulate emotions, and manage stressors.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Techniques: Challenge negative thought patterns, enhance mindfulness, and build impulse control strategies.
  • Identifying Triggers & Preventing Relapse: Recognize early warning signs and develop personalized action plans to prevent episodes.
  • Building Routine & Stability: Learn the importance of sleep, nutrition, exercise, and medication adherence in managing bipolar symptoms.
  • Community & Peer Support: Connect with others who understand your experiences and create a supportive network in a judgment-free environment.

This group is open to individuals diagnosed with:

  • Bipolar I – Characterized by severe manic episodes that may require hospitalization.
  • Bipolar II – Involves hypomanic episodes alongside depressive episodes.
  • Cyclothymic Disorder – Marked by frequent mood swings that are less severe than full manic or depressive episodes.
  • Unspecified Bipolar Disorder – When symptoms don’t fit neatly into another category but still impact daily life.
