I am committed to providing a space where every human receives respect, compassion, validation, honesty, and the ability to be their authentic self. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois-Chicago and have received the Licensed Social Work certification (LSW) since. Throughout my career, I've worked with clients to help them achieve confidence, self-worth, and self-compassion during difficult life phases. I have worked in a variety of community mental health roles providing therapy, crisis intervention, grief/loss support, LGBTQIA+ affirmative care, and psychoeducation based work, all within a person-centered and trauma-informed lens. I have experience working with clients on trauma and stress related issues, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, bipolar and related disorders, self-harm, suicidality, substance use, ADHD, and chronic illness. I am passionate about helping my clients gain the tools to navigate life through an evidenced based practice. The modalities that I provide are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). In my personal life, I enjoy walks and hikes, playing cards or board games with my friends and family, going to concerts, and learning new tricks to teach my dog.
