“Conflict is inevitable, the source of all growth, and an absolute necessity if one is to be alive” – Jean Baker Miller.
Conflicts, or challenges often arise throughout our lives and can cause difficulties balancing and maintaining connection with others. These experiences may cause feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety, or trauma responses. Often many of us believe we have to navigate these experiences alone, however, therapy and the therapeutic relationship can help us navigate challenges and increase connection.
I view therapy as a collaborative process. Providing a safe nonjudgmental environment for my clients is a priority. I strive to utilize a holistic approach. Relational Cultural Theory and Feminist theory are the therapeutic modalities I typically utilize in my work. I enjoy exploring the complexities of human connection and relationships, as well as the influence of social factors. I believe deeply in highlighting my client’s strengths and the importance of creating a positive, growth fostering relationship with clients. I am committed to offering support and tools to help achieve goals and growth.
