As an art therapist I embrace the transformative power that creativity can have on healing and self-discovery. I am passionate in the belief that engaging in creative rituals and practices can reveal new perspectives and tools for healing. Let’s tap into your inner artist and discover the healing power of the creative spirit and self-expression!
I take an integrative approach, combining different counseling modalities and theories such as Client-Centered, Adlerian, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with my background in art therapy. I seek to offer authenticity and unconditional positive regard in order to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where you can express yourself openly and genuinely. I am committed to tailoring my approach to each client in order to provide personal and meaningful mental health care.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology at the University of Cincinnati and my M.A. in Counseling: Art Therapy from Adler University. Through my education and experiences I have been fortunate to work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. I practice mostly from a client-centered perspective, believing the importance of clients having equal power and involvement in their individual healing process. I value being able to offer the warmth of human connection to each client when they share their unique narrative. In my personal life I enjoy expressing my creativity through different arts and crafts such as doodling and making jewelry. I also enjoy taking my beagle, Daisy, on long walks to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. I look forward to collaborating with you in working towards wellness!
