Hello! Whether you’ve been thinking about seeking help for a long time, or if this starts the beginning of your journey, I’m glad you’re here!
Everybody’s healing and therapy journeys are unique! It is my goal to work collaboratively with you on developing the skills to aid you in coping with life’s struggles more effectively. Healing is a long, but possible journey, that requires patience, compassion, courage, and willingness. As your therapist, I will provide you with a non-judgmental and welcoming environment, with a touch of humor, where you can gain valuable insight into who you are and want to be. Together, we will draw from your unique personal strengths to help you develop a strong sense of self while improving your quality of life.
My clinical practice involves meeting you where you are and guiding you at your own pace. My clinical background includes treating diverse adult populations with co-occurring disorders, including complex trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, attachment insecurities, identity issues, and difficult life transitions.
While rooted in psychodynamic therapy, I work with clients to feel heard and understood as they explore who they are as individuals. I place a focus on Asian Americans and cultural minority groups who may be struggling with navigating through cultures and identities. I am holistic and person-centered in how I approach clients, but I also place acknowledgment towards a cultural lens, which allows clients to come as they are. It is a privilege to be a source of support and stability for individuals that share their struggles and experiences.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health and a Sociology minor from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Furthering my education and experience, I completed a dual Master’s degree in Sport & Human Performance and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University, qualifying me as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Along with the double Master’s, I received my certification in Substance Abuse Counseling.
It would be an honor and privilege to work with you! No matter the situation or the individual, I’m here to remind you that you are not alone, but more importantly, resilient.
