As a practitioner, I enjoy guiding those to internalize the concept of being human and understanding that we are not perfect. I practice from a spectrum of therapeutic approaches, which support and provides a balance for the client, holistically.
Currently, I possess a DSW- Doctorate in Social Work, from the University of Kentucky. In addition, I hold an LSW- License Social Work, to practice and support in the state of Illinois. I have had the pleasure of working with adolescents and adults in various settings for the last 8 years (hospital settings, non-profit organizations, and Individual/community therapy). I have experience working clients struggling with anxiety, substance abuse, depression, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and OCD. I also provide family therapy. Furthermore, modalities that I utilize are psychodynamic, conflict, and systems theories. I also utilize person centered or motivational interviewing as my styles of approach.
I take pride in guiding clients though their journey. My biggest take away in life: “The earth is yours and everything that is in it” – (peace, love, joy, healing.). I enjoy working with various age groups and populations. I find this to be a benefitable learning experience for both parties. During my leisure time, I enjoy traveling and trying new foods.
