As a compassionate and experienced counselor and expressive therapist, I've had the privilege of guiding individuals, families, and couples through life's challenges for over 20 years. With expertise in dyadic developmental, emotionally focused, and attachment-oriented therapies, I help clients overcome communication struggles, trauma, and attachment disruptions.
My greatest joy is empowering clients to envision a hopeful future. Often, they arrive feeling discouraged and overwhelmed, but through our collaborative work, they gain greater self-awareness, identifying their strengths and developing effective coping strategies.
I value the therapeutic relationship above all, taking a relational and attachment-oriented approach that fosters a safe, non-judgmental environment. By combining empathy, communication, and support, I help clients explore themselves and their relationships with renewed confidence.
Rather than focusing on a single symptom or diagnosis, I encourage clients to adopt a holistic perspective, understanding the interconnectedness of their experiences. Through tailored therapeutic techniques – including expressive therapies, EFT, art therapy, and role-play – clients develop essential skills for self-exploration, emotional expression, and conflict resolution.
Witnessing clients tap into their inner strengths to navigate challenges and achieve balance is truly rewarding. Beyond my client work, I'm passionate about supporting the broader community. I consult with schools, advocate for children with emotional and developmental disabilities, and present nationally on art therapy's role in trauma treatment and emotional expression.
With a BFA in Fine Art/Art Education and an MA in Art Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, I'm dedicated to continuing my professional growth and providing compassionate, effective support to those I serve.
