The human condition can be remarkable as well as an unruly one. Although life can sometimes leave us feeling alone, confused, or disconnected, we are all human and we share that connected experience. Everyone is unique and I aspire to soulfully understand the individuals I work with.
I offer an open-minded therapeutic practice that aims to empower individuals and encourage their authenticity. Whether it is through acceptance, or fostering change I wholeheartedly advocate for the client’s best interest. Striving to promote healthy functioning and a sense of fulfillment.
As a licensed clinical professional counselor I work with a variety of populations, backgrounds, cultures, and ages. I majored in Psychology at Loyola University, I obtained a Master's degree in clinical counseling from Lewis University. Although treatment modalities vary based on client needs here are some of the leading modalities I use; cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Along with gratitude practices, mindfulness, and meditative techniques, I believe bringing humor in when appropriate can be therapeutic as well. I have worked closely with general anxiety disorder, panic attacks, major depressive disorder, acute trauma issues, adjustment disorder, identity issues, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, and self-esteem issues.
Though my passion consists of helping others I get the benefit of learning how amazing each human can be.
