As a therapist, I work from a client-centered approach and trauma-informed approach, focusing on working alongside you as a client to reach your goals, while providing professional perspective, skills, and directives to get you on the path to living the life you want to live. I have my bachelor's in Sociology and Gender and Diversity Studies from Xavier University, and a Master's in Public Policy from DePaul University, where I fell in love with applying a macro intersectional lens to direct service. This has led to my transition into therapy and I am currently finishing my Master's in Social Work through the University of Kentucky. When working together as a clinician and client, my goal is to use my professional knowledge to help you reach your goals, inviting the client in as an active participant in their own treatment. Whether we are working on skills to better manage your anxiety and depression through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or on developing your social skills to better your relationships in your life through Social Skills Training (SST), my approach is to work alongside you to help you reach your goals so you can live the life that you want to live. I also approach trauma with a sensitive hand, whether it be a singular incident, or complex ongoing traumatic experiences so that you can learn to live with your trauma instead of having it define you. As a non-binary provider, I have a personal connection to what it means to navigate the world as a queer person, and provide inclusive and informed care to the LGBTQIA+ community of all ages. I work with people of all ages, but specialize in adolescents and young adults, focusing on navigating large transitions and navigating the world as a young person. I am an inclusive and intersectional provider, and want to hold space for all of one's identities when we work together as I deeply believe that a person does not operate separate from their community or identities.
