Life has its hardships and challenges that can sometimes lead to us finding ourselves feeling alone, isolated, anxious, or depressed. We can feel hopeless and not see a way out of this downward spiral. We may not realize that with the support of an empathetic therapist, we can become whole again.
I believe in the mind-body-spirit connection and the powerful impact it can have on achieving maximum potential. I strive to provide holistically-focused counseling, looking at various aspects of one’s life and tailoring treatment for individuals based on their specific needs. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness. I believe individuals have the potential to create meaningful changes with the support of a nonjudgmental, compassionate therapist. I value the therapeutic relationship and provide guidance in a safe environment to foster maximum healing and growth.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Illinois Counseling Association. I have experience in a variety of therapeutic settings. At Presence St. Joseph Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program, I conducted group therapy sessions with a diverse population of clients in the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. I have worked in both individual and group therapy settings. I currently specialize in helping young adults and adult populations in the treatment of mood disorders and in struggles with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, and self-esteem.
I welcome the opportunity to work with you in your journey to feel more centered and to start creating meaning in your life.
