As a therapist, I bring dynamic, evidence-based approaches to my clinical practice with a warm, supportive and collaborative therapeutic approach. I help clients build values and a strong sense of self – which is imperative for healing. I believe in meeting the client where they are at, helping them build concrete tools for managing life’s challenges. I work with my clients to help them identify their strengths and to help them discover resilience to help motivate them to overcome any obstacle that is thrown their way. I encourage my clients to focus on their strengths and become aware of using negative self talk.
I particularly use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to support individuals coping with life challenges such as: depression, anxiety, self-esteem, communication difficulties, stress management, emotional regulation, self-injury, relationship issues, family conflict and life transitions. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Master of Social Work degree.
I’ve recently joined the Clarity Clinic Arlington Heights team and am extremely thrilled to be apart of this team helping the Northern suburbs of Chicago. My diverse experience allows me to work with families and individuals of all ages through individual, group and family therapy in various settings such as partial hospitalization and outpatient practices. Each type of therapy is unique and provides different forms of healing. Individual therapy provides the space and time to concentrate on the individual where group therapy is shared time. Psychotherapy sessions are more individualized to the client and the client gets direct feedback on their progress. Individual therapy is beneficial for ongoing support and to reinforce positive coping mechanisms.
I am passionate about bringing more awareness to common emotional wellness struggles through educating and helping clients learn tools that they can utilize daily. I love that our blog provides so much useful information and educational tips such as articles to help boost self esteem, productivity, motivation and relationships.
