Adult Anxiety Management Group

  • 10 week skills-based group therapy designed for those struggling with anxiety or distress:
    • Week 1: Recognizing and Validating Anxiety
    • Week 2: 4 Options when in Distress
    • Week 3: Observe and Describe: Non-judgmental stance
    • Week 4: Finding Wise Mind
    • Week 5: Responding to Body Cues to Reduce Anxiety
    • Week 6: Dialectical Thinking
    • Week 7: DEARMAN
    • Week 8: Introduction to Mindfulness
    • Week 9: 3 C’s: Challenging Cognitive Distortions
    • Week 10: Opposite-to-Emotion Action
  • If you are overwhelmed by daily responsibilities, or have elevated anxiety from professional or personal circumstances, this group can enhance your ability to cope with these stressors, and improve your overall well-being
  • Group is based in the evidence-based coping strategies of DBT and CBT, including: emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills
  • Insurance accepted, self-pay is $50 per session

This group is currently open to new participants, adults 18+, and will be starting in 2019.
